Worktables

In the ongoing project that is the hobby room, we spent part of Saturday assembling the two work tables with Uncle Kenny's and Grandpa Sorrels's help. Patrick was in the middle of it all.  Playing with the screws, hammering, and even seeing what the wood glue tasted like (yukky).

Family Game time

A part of everything, even boardgames.  Patrick loves when we pull out a game.  He wants to play right along with up and studies what we're doing and he does his best to play and act like we are.

Frosty Morning

When we stay up at Grandpa and Grandma Sorrels in the county, Patrick has a routine that includes outside time.  After breakfast and getting on socks and shoes, it's time to go for the morning ride and walk.  It didn't matter that the temperature was near freezing and there was ice and frost of stuff.

All bundled up for a walk.

Come on Mom, it's time to go

Dad! Lets go

Lets walk over this way

Now, we go this way

Silly Boy

Patrick is a little ham.  He loves being the center of attention and apart of everything.

White Christmas

It was a white Christmas for Patrick's second Christmas.  After opening gifts and playing for a little while, Patrick wanted to go outside.  So after bundling up everyone, out we went.

You guys coming?

Wind picked up and blew snow everywhere

Not sure what Snow is, but Patrick likes being outside.

Present Opening Pliers

Patrick and his, present opening pliers, yep this Christmas Patrick needed his pliers to unwrap gifts.  We opened presents over a few days at home and every time, Patrick needed his pliers.  We took the pliers to Grandpa and Grandma Sorrels' house on Christmas day, and Patrick needed his pliers there also.

Shelves

Over the holiday break, we spent a lot of time in the back room working on the cabinets and shelves.  Patrick spent his time helping any way he could.  Testing the holding capacity of the cabinets (empty of stuff, they do fit one Patrick), banging on the doors or anything else to check for structural issues (no issues detected), and anything else he could get into.

When Dad drilled the holes for the door/drawer pulls, Patrick checked each one with his flashlight.  Most of the time if Dad did something, Patrick had to do it also, like walking on top of the counter top.

Most of the painting was done after Patrick had gone to bed, but some of it was done while he was up.  If Patrick was awake for the painting he was handed an empty paint tray and a clean brush to play with.

Even when all the work was done and time had past for the paint to cure and the shelves were being filled, Patrick was right there to help and get under foot.
