Outside Rides

More outside time and golf cart rides ensued last weekend. The morning rides were great, the afternoon ones were a bit warm unless you were zooming down hill.

Bubbles with Aunt Sue

Patrick loves watching bubbles and when his Aunt Sue brought out two bottles of colored bubbles, he was right there, not always so patiently waiting for more bubbles to appear. He eventually got his hands on one of the closed bottles and it was awhile before he gave it up.

Sword Play

Patrick's favorite toys right now are the crocheted swords that his Grandpa Stull made him.  He's been taking them pretty much everywhere.  So far they have avoided being taken into the bath, but just barely as he gets so excited when you start the water.

 

Daddy's Little Helper

Patrick has shown an interest in what ever project that Mommy or Daddy is working on at the time.  He'll sit and watch us for long periods of time before he decides to go play for a bit.  This past weekend we were over at Grandpa and Grandma Sorrels so Daddy could us the power tools to work on a project.  Patrick loved being outside in nice soft grass and he was also interested in the tools that Daddy was using.

Elephant Walk

With the nicer weather, we've been trying to spend more time outside.  And, Patrick has been exploring more and more while outside.  He's really started "elephant walking" outside while our grass was still dry and crunchy and on the rough surface of the concrete slabs.  Trying to follow him around on all fours like he travels has proven to be a really good work out.

 

Big Ball of fun

Patrick's really enjoying playing with all of his small balls, so we bought him a large ball the other week.  He started off playing with it by head butting it around the room while he crawled after it.  Now he's moved on to swinging things like his swords at it or even drumming on it.

Climbing

Patrick has really gotten into climbing lately.  If it will support him using it to stand, he'll try to climb it eventually. We first noticed his climbing when we caught him on top of Daddy's box of traveling art supplies. Now, he's climbing single steps and other smaller objects with out issues; the couches and coffee table still remain a little to high for him to climb onto.

Breaking News

Patrick just took a couple step last night. I don't know if he realized what he did, we cheered when he did it and he just looked at us, like what? Me and Tim were pretty excited though. We tried to get him to do it again, but he just wanted to play.
He'll be running around the house before we know it. We always try to encourage and help him on whatever skill he is working on. It make him and us happy when he succeeds.

Happy Boy

We've had a busy and exhausting couple of weeks. Patrick had an ear infection last week, so were dealing with that and lack of rest, because the poor little boy had a hard time getting comfy. And this week the time change has really thrown all of us off.
This morning we all were doing better and feeling more rested.

Here is some pictures of the fun Patrick had with Grandpa and Grandma Stull on Saturday, while me and Tim got a much needed break and went to the movie. It was the first time we have gone since Patrick was born.

Outside

With the nice weather of the weekend, we were able to spend some time outside. Patrick really enjoyed being outside, we took several rides in the golf cart around the property, spent some time out with everyone while we picked up branches from tree trimming, and got a little sun out on the back deck.  The golf cart can get a bit of speed when going down hill, add in some bumps and it was a great bouncy time for Patrick who was strapped into his carrier on Dad's chest.
