Patrick loves playing with the beagles at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He usually goes out the doggie dog with them and runs around the yard, either leading or following them.

Fort Slide

Attached to the swing set is a little fort that has stairs and a climbing wall leading to it, as well as a nice slide. Patrick isn't to sure about the climb yet, but he can do the stairs on his own.

Grandpa and Grandma Sorrels assembled a large swing/play set.  Once, they were all done, Patrick and Aunt Susie had to test it out.

Patrick loves his aunt Susie.  He really enjoys saying her name and pronounces it in a low voice "Sus-e".  Aunt Susie had a birthday early in June and Patrick just had to help her out with the gifts.

Broken Bones

Friday the 7th, Patrick managed to fall at some point in the morning and break his collar bone on his right side.  It took a bit to figure out what exactly was wrong even with a Doctor appointment that Friday afternoon, it was only "ow" till Sunday evening when the area turned bruised that looked more like a tan, Monday, Patrick kept his arm tucked in, and Tuesday the swelling set in. Tuesday, the Doc sent for X-rays and it did indeed turn out to be a break. 

The break only slowed Patrick down a little for about a week.  Now at a week and a half later, we're trying to keep him calm so the bone can heal better, but Patrick is full steam ahead.

Sock Monkey Sprinkler Part 2

Once the wind picked up, Patrick was done playing in the water and he wanted out of his soaked clothing.  We also disconnected the monkey from the hose and started picking up, when Patrick decided that Monkey needed a little lesson from getting him all wet.  Sock Monkey Sprinkler wrestling was on.

Sock Monkey Sprinkler Part 1

Patrick received a blow up sprinkler in the shape of a sock monkey.  After playing with the water table, we were all a bit wet, so we decided to try out the sprinkler.  Dad got a bit wet from setting it up, and Patrick had a good time running around and playing in the water until the wind picked up a bit and he started to feel cold.

Sunday, after Dad cut the grass, Mom moved Patrick's water table outside and they tested it out while Dad finished the front yard.  Patrick had great fun, pouring water, sinking boats, and pushing around the cars.

Birthday Party! Part 2

After opening gifts we had pizza, one of Patrick's favorites.  After pizza, we had dinosaur cake (ROAR!!!!) and ice cream.  Patrick helped Mommy mix together the cake and then Dad did the icing.  After everybody left the birthday boy crashed. What a party.

Birthday Party! Part 1

We had a small family birthday part for Patrick.  He's now 2.  Patrick loves to take the bows off his presents and then passing them out to everyone. After all the bows were passed out and on everyone's head he went to ripping the paper off his presents  After the paper was off each present, Patrick had to have it put together so he could play with it. He supervised the assembly of the toy to make sure we did it right, and then he would play with it little bit before he would open the next gift.

New Bouncing Toy

Patrick's Great Grandpa Sorrels and Wanda gave Patrick a new bouncing toy for his birthday.  We didn't know how Patrick was going to react, but apparently the daycare has at least two of them, so Patrick is an experienced blue bouncing horse rider.
