Garden Time

With the weather getting warmer it was time to clean up the little garden area and get some seeds in the ground.  Patrick had a lot of fun digging around in the dirt as well as planting seeds.  We have to be pretty firm about when and how often we water as Patrick wants to do it every time he walks outside.

Outside Activities

In between all the rides and running around, we spent a lot of time at the sing set.

Morning Ride

A morning ride around Grandpa and Grandma Sorrels house in the country.  We let Patrick pick where we go on the rides. The neighbor up the road has a pig barn set up.  In the nicer morning weather all the pigs were out.  After seeing the pigs, Patrick wanted to go to the puddle, the pond. At the pond we saw geese and ducks.  Later in the afternoon we also saw two turkeys wandering around.  Patrick really enjoyed the day outside and seeing all the different animals.

Boardgames

Patrick enjoys playing boardgames with his rules.  He enjoys lining up pieces, stacking them, and even making a mess with them that most of the time he helps to clean up. Bellow Patrick is playing a garden planting game and he's putting the seeds/vegetables in each space on the board.  This was the second game he played with, the first being Monster Factory, a game where each tile has purple and/or green monster parts on it for building crazy looking monsters.

Playing and Singing

Momma pulled out her guitar the other evening after Patrick asked what it was.  After she showed him how touching the strings causes noise to be made, he wanted his turn.  Patrick very quickly made up his own song.

The Kitchen Sink

So, Mom broke the kitchen sick one morning so Patrick and Dad had to fix it that evening. Patrick was a great help to Dad, crawling all of him as well as joining him under the sink. He did a great job at listening and doing as he was asked.  Patrick got to take his own turns under the sink while Dad was taking care of other things.

Goings On

It was a busy holiday season, time well spent with friends and family, but right after the holiday season it was an even busier time at work for Mom and Dad.

Patrick is currently growing like a weed and going through potty training.  Some days are good, some not so good.  He is currently making it through most days at Day Care with no accidents, even through nap time.
