Going on an Adventure

Me, Patrick and Kenny went to Minnesota last week to go visit Cindy. This was Patrick's first time to go on an airplane. He did really good and enjoyed seeing all the new things. He watched, smiled and waved at people as we got checked in and once at the gate, he was happy to explore and look out the window. After all that he was tired and fell asleep pretty quickly once we got on the plane.
Of course when we got to Minnesota, he had a lot of new people and things to see.

Puddle Splashing

Patrick got his first chance at puddle splashing. The day before we left to go to Minnesota, it rained pretty hard. During one of the breaks we took Patrick out and he had a fun time playing.

We then took him to the rain gutter and let him try to catch the water.

Tools

 Patrick loves playing with Daddy's tools. Of course about whatever we are using he wants to help us with and do it too.

Indian Paintbrush and Eggs

Patrick got to hunt eggs for a second time, this time outside and in the middle of a patch of Indian Paintbrushes.  At first he was more interested in the flowers than finding eggs and later the lack of naps caught up and we ended up piling the eggs in front of Patrick and showing him what was inside them.

Swords and Sippy Cups

Since Patrick figured out how to drink from straws, no drink with a straw in it is safe from him.  So we looked into getting him his own cups with straws in them and found some.  Patrick loves them and so far, he hasn't made a mess with them, but then he's had them for a day now.

Uncle David showed Patrick his nerf sword and Patrick's face lit up.  He can't do much more than drag it around yet, but it's also a lot bigger then he is.  I'm sure in no time everyone will be outside have sword fights with Patrick.

Church Egg Time

The areas for the little kids to hunt eggs was covered in eggs.  Patrick got an overflowing bucket of eggs and that was after throwing some of the eggs he found around the room to re-hide them for others. Dad emptied the eggs of their candy and bubble gum after getting to Grandpa and Grandma's.  So Patrick ended up with a bucket of plastic eggs that turns into a game of can he empty the bucket faster then the adults can put the eggs back in.  And, Patrick wins more time then not.

Come on Grandpa! We've got eggs to  find.

Children's Church

Easter Sunday we went down and spent the morning with Grandpa and Grandma Stull in the Children's Church class.  It started off with a snack time and puzzles before class.  During class Patrick sat, watched, and participated when he wanted to.  After the class there was a little bit of time to wait until the great egg hunt would start, so Patrick spent the time getting himself pumped up about filling his bucket (or that's what it looks like in the pictures).
