We went to the park Sunday, while Kenny was up visiting us. We all had a really good time and we took a lot of pictures. I love this picture of Patrick trying to figure out the tall grass.
Kenny picked Patrick up near the end and put Patrick on his shoulder. Patrick wasn't to sure about it first, but I think he really liked being tall.

Head & Sholders? No Just Toes!
Within the last week Patrick has discovered his toes. He is know always holding them, which makes it harder to get him dressed. He's also discovered that he can take his socks off. The first time he did it he was just happily holding on to his socks, playing with his feet and all of a sudden his socks came off. With a sock in each hand he had a look that said what just happened here.
On another day when he had first discovered this feet, Tim was giving him his regular evening bath. Tim sat him up for a little while and he looked down and saw his feet, he went to go get them and was shocked when he dunked his head in the water. He wasn't upset, but just look at Tim as if saying what just happened and then he sat there and watched his feet trying to figure out how to get them.

Messy, Messy, Baby
Patrick really enjoys his cereal time and he makes sure to get it everywhere. He is also known to pull the spoon from your hand, if you're not quick enough with it, and tries to feed himself with it. Which usually means, the spoon goes in and out of the mouth several times, before he gives a look that says, "Well, where's the food? It's empty."
After eating his cereal, its bath time and I think he enjoys that just as much as making the mess.

Getting Medieval
Ginger made Patrick a nice little medieval outfit. She card wove the little belt and sewed the tunic and pants.
He seemed to enjoy wearing it for the day and the linen held up really well. As long as we wiped off any milky slime the tunic dried out just fine.
The belt was also long enough to tie one of his teething toys that he likes to lick and gum.

Bath Time
Patrick loves his bath time, he is always excited about taking a bath.A lot of times when we first put him in the tub he has a shocked look on his face, like he's saying "Where did you put me now?" But when he realizes when he is, he smiles and starts splashing.
He's gotten really good at splashing and kicking those little feet down for a nice big splash, me or Tim usually end up pretty wet.
We recently started sitting him up for a little bit in the tub and he looks around like it's a whole new world.
In the pictures he's happy to have his ducky to play with.

Sitting and Standing
Patrick has been working very hard to sit up. Any time we try to lay him done he lifts up his head and tries to sit up. His little tummy muscle have really been getting a workout. He's still a little wobbly, but he's getting pretty good at sitting up.
Patrick loves sitting and standing, he was showing off on Monday his sitting up and standing skills.
I'm not holding Patrick at all, just watching to make sure he doesn't crash.
Tim was just holding him by his hips, Patrick is holding himself up.

Hanging Out
![]() |
| Fence building break time |
This weekend we went up to my parents place in the country and gave them a hand putting up a "backyard" fence. Patrick enjoys watching people and his seat in the stroller left much to be desired apparently. He just couldn't follow everyone's movements from his seat.
We soon pulled out the carried that we use just after Patrick was born, before it got to hot. With his head control, we were able to face him away from the person carrying him and he just loved this.
We also found out that he quickly liked to hang when we bent over while carrying him.
