Teeth

Brendan started pushing out teeth last week ...... Finally. It feels like he's been teething forever. He's not really wanting to show them yet, so no pictures, but he has two bottom, front teeth coming in.

Crawling

Brendan has been working really hard trying to figure out how to crawl and he started last Friday. Now he can follow Mommy, Daddy and Patrick around. He's not going to fast yet, but he has already gotten better it his few days of practice.

He still really loves to hold our hands to walk. He'll probably be walking and then running soon, to keep up with his big brother.

Great Grandma

Me and Brendan went down to Texas with my parent this mother's day to hang out with family. We had a really good time and Brendan had fun crawling around to all the different people at Grandma's apartment. He crawled up to Grandma to hang out for a few minutes and then over to Uncle David to borrow his phone to take some selfies.

 

  

Science museum

We went to the Science museum today with some friends and had a really great time. Patrick liked going from thing to the next and Brendan enjoyed looking around at everything. Patrick really liked the outer space area, with all it's cool things to do and explore. It was really hard to take pictures of Patrick because he was moving so fast, but here's a few good shots I got.

Sitting

Brendan has been practicing really hard to sit up. Well yesterday he was able sit by himself for a little bit. We still have to keep an eye on him though as his head gets the better of him and he either starts leaning forward or he gets excited and wiggles til he falls over. 

After all that work Daddy and Brendan decided to have fun and make goofy faces at Mommy. 

Yummy

Brendan has really been working on sitting up lately. Here he is practicing eating on Daddy's arm. He loves to sit at the table with us and watch us eat he thinks it's great and he wants some too. 

We're back

It's been awhile since we posted. It been a crazy year and we now have a 4 year old (Patrick) and a 3 month old (Brendan). We made it through Brendan's first Christmas, of course he didn't know what was happening most the time but he did enjoy watching Patrick open presents and play. 

Brendan is really working on sitting up right now and if he sees anyone eating he's starting to grab for it and move his mouth like he's trying to eat. 

Weeding

Patrick always likes doing what we are doing. Tim was weeding the front flower bed the other day and Patrick was right there trying to help. 

This was also the first day after we had gotten our new phones and they take great pictures. It's definitely easier to take pictures when you have you camera with you all the time.

Building

Patrick has really gotten into building with his lego recently. With a little bit of help he does really well, that is until he gets frustrated. The first picture shown he was building really well then he got frustrated with it and ended up tearing it to pieces. Oh well that's part of the learning process.

The second pictures is a train station, he had me help him build a spot for all the trains to sleep. He has quite a bit of trains, so it took a bit of an imagination to get all the pieces to fit.

Park

This weekend Tim went out of town for an event, so Uncle Kenny was nice enough to come over on Saturday to help me, and play with Patrick. It was such a nice day on Saturday that we decided to go to the park near our house to play. Patrick had a wonderful time playing and especially like getting pushed really high on the swing.

Kenny's birthday

It was Kenny's birthday earlier this month and we all had a good time. We first went out to eat at a place of Kenny's choosing and then we got back to our house it was time to open presents.

Patrick likes helping open presents and he was also excited because Papa and Grandma had snuck in a present for him too. Kenny got alot of Batman stuff, so it was only approiate that Patrick got a Batman coptor to go with the Batman theme.

Goofy Boy

Momma told Patrick to go pick out a shirt, well he grabbed one of Momma's shirts instead of his. He also managed to get it on and run around the house in it for a bit.

I'm a Robot

Patrick picked up Momma's crochet thread spools and they fit around his little hands, so he wore them like giant bracelets.  While he had them on, he went around saying he was a robot.

Momma's Helper

Patrick loves being in the middle of anything going on.  Momma was trying to warp her loom over the weekend and Patrick and his T-rex kept "helping" her.

Boardgames

Sunday, after all the busy July 4th fun, we had just a relaxing day to do projects and play games. Patrick enjoys playing with boardgames, so while Daddy and Mommy worked on some of there project (Daddy was binding a book and Mommy was sewing a quilt) Patrick got to play with some games. He doesn't play by the box rules but makes up his own epic adventures. We all had a lot of fun.

Patrick loves the camera, and any time it's pulled out for anything he has to get his picture taken and then take a picture or six, himself.

Patrick loves being a helper in the kitchen.  He enjoys helping to cook, mix, and make messes. After going for a bike ride with Daddy, Patrick walked into Mommy making muffins and he had to jump in and help her out. He's getting good at measuring, stirring and putting the batter in the pan.

Patrick Birthday Part 2

Patrick received several riding toys this year.  He got a balance bike from Uncle Kenny.  He has been really enjoying dragging Mommy and Daddy outside to ride all his different riding toys.  Patrick's balance on the bike has really improved. Patrick also got a seated scooter from Grandpa and Grandma Sorrels, he love riding down the driveway and getting pushed back up.

Patrick's Birthday, Part 1

For Patrick's birthday party we had both sets of Grandparents,  Uncles and Aunt over. Patrick had a really great time. We had pizza and vanilla cupcakes and cinnamon ice-cream... Yum!

Superheros

Patrick's been getting interested in Spider-man and other superheroes. Momma picked up some different colored felt to make different superheros and Patrick said he wanted an orange one.  Daddy said that The Thing was orange and drew it out so Momma could sew it. At the end of the afternoon Patrick several masks, Hulk, Iron Man, Thing, Captain America, Spider-Man. And, if you mention any other superhero, Patrick says he's that superhero. Momma also made a Batman mask that was Daddy size. The kids mask don't fit adults well so she will be working on more adults size mask, because Patrick insists on everyone participating.
