Hard Work Growing

Patrick is working hard on everything. He's become very vocal in the evenings and has started picking up on tunes from songs.  He's also starting to mimic works like uh-oh.  So much of the time he's all go go go.  This past weekend when he started to drag, Patrick wanted cuddle time with Dad, which eventually lead to him taking naps on Dad.

We finally got some rain and all of us went outside to play in it. Dad didn't get to spend to much time out in it as he was cooking dinner, but Patrick and Mom had a great time playing in the rain.

Sam Nobel Museum: Discovery Room

After walking around and looking at all the Dinos, Patrick walked out to the court yard area, so Mom took him to the Discovery Room. He had a lot of fun playing with everything in the room that he could get his hands on. After he went through everything at the Discovery Room, we walked over to the massive metal mammoth.  Patrick wasn't sure about the mammoth until, Mom banged on it.  Then everything was ok.  A bbq lunch ended our trip to Norman for the day, and Patrick slept on the way home.

Sam Nobel Museum: Dinos

We took a trip to the Sam Nobel Museum in Norman the other weekend.  This time around Patrick is old enough to look and walk around on his own.  He was a little unsure about the darker areas of the exhibits, but loved it when we arrived at the start of the Dinosaurs.  He spent his time pointing where he wanted to go, looking, and touching what ever he could get his fingers on.

Rootbeer Float

We decided to have rootbeer floats yesterday, while my bothers we're up. I hadn't had one in a while so it sounded really good. Of course Patrick was right there wanting to share with everyone. He would go from me, to Kenny and then to Tim. He tried David, but David wasn't sharing his.
All of a sudden after a few bites Patrick started dancing and signing. He was spinning around in circles humming a tune. I guess the rootbeer float really hit the spot.
The funny thing is he's had icecream and rootbeer separately, but not together. I guess the new combo really made an impression on him.

I don't have any pictures of this, but thought I share the cute story.

Broken Flower Lei

With Patrick pulling on and Mom sitting on the Flower Lei, they managed to break the string. It's now a large group of soft flowers and Patrick enjoys playing with.He rolls in them, enjoys having them rain down on him, stuffs them whereever he can, and they end up all over the house.

Olympic Inspration

We've been watching the Olympics on TV during the evenings.  Patrick has enjoyed cheering with crowds and watching the different sports. It also seems like the Olympics has inspired him, he's been more active on climbing, splashing in the tub, running, and spinning in circles. By bed time we're all tired and worn out.
